New Structure for Fairfax Marketing Team

Fairfax New Zealand has announced a new marketing team structure with three appointments into newly created marketing roles.

Jenny Stiles, formerly at the Sunday Star-Times has been appointed Head of Marketing, Fairfax New Zealand. Ms Stiles will oversee the marketing activities of the Fairfax corporate brand with a particular focus on the Auckland region including the Sundays and Suburban Newspaper Group. She will also have regular contact with Fairfax magazines.

Craig Calder, currently Marketing Manager Dominion Post and Clare O'Higgins, currently Circulation and Marketing Manager The Press, take up new responsibilities that include the Central Region newspapers and Southern Region newspapers respectively.

Sandra King, Group Sales and Marketing Manager for Fairfax New Zealand says "the changes in the overall marketing effort adds some very valuable support and access to wider resources for papers such as the Manawatu Evening Standard, the Timaru Herald and the Southland Times, whilst maintaining the excellent work done for the metropolitan and national papers, the Dominion Post, the Christchurch Press, Sunday News and Sunday Star Times. The appointment of regional marketing managers affords Fairfax greater co-ordination across the group, working closely together on group initiatives".

The appointments are effective 1 January 2004.
