Todd Moir Appointed Fairfax New Zealand Human Resources Manager
Todd Moir has been appointed Fairfax New Zealand Ltd Group Human Resources Manager, it was announced by Chief Operating Officer Peter O'Hara today.
Todd, currently the Dominion Post's Human Resources Manager, succeeds Mark Lochore, who leaves Fairfax New Zealand on September 30.
Peter O'Hara said Todd Moir will be based at the Dominion Post in his new role, and will be charged with developing human resources structures and policies which support high standards of people management across Fairfax New Zealand.
"Fairfax New Zealand is fortunate to be able to call on a human resources practitioner with Todd's experience, background and expertise in newspaper management to step up into the group role."
Todd Moir worked for the Employers and Manufacturers Association for 13 years as an employee relations consultant after graduating from Victoria University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree.
He was responsible for the negotiation of national awards and collective agreements, advising and representing employers on a range of employment-related matters and leading a team of human resource advisors.
Todd moved to the ACC as HR Support Manager during a time of significant change management with the privatisation of accident compensation and the split of ACC into separate companies.
In February 2000 Todd commenced with Wellington Newspapers Limited where he worked as part of the team which successfully merged The Evening Post and The Dominion.
