The writing talents of our newest reporter have come to the attention of the Dominion Post, which has offered him a job he couldn’t refuse. His replacement will be energetic and motivated, with a nose for breaking hard news stories, often from court reporting, while at the same time be able to turn his or her hand to human interest stories, have a flair for photography and be able to write the occasional advertising feature. Upper Hutt has plenty to offer a hardworking news reporter with its army base, prison, court and police generating many leads. Its fun and active community will also get you out of the office regularly. A full licence to drive a manual car is required. The position would suit a graduate of a recognised journalism course or a person already working in the media. The position includes superannuation and medical schemes.
