Over the week content includes local, national and international news. A daily dose of politics, entertainment, opinion, in business, sports, weather, births, deaths & announcements, TV listings and puzzles.  

Friday has a substantial overdrive section for new and used vehicle listing.

The Weekend Standard is a larger publication which includes Property Weekly, a tabloid sized publication packed full with over 80 pages of real estate listings from reputable agents; Job Market listings and a weekend extra magazine.

Advertisers are able to purchase, subject to availability, front page solus, premium and unique positions. Size, availability and price are subject to request and availability.

Run of Paper from 4cm deep to 10cols (39.63 cm) wide, up to 44cm x 10cols and then to 56 x 10cols.

Run of Paper (ROP)
The Manawatu Standard's main book publishes Monday through to Friday. Sections contain News, World, Entertainment, Opinion, In Business, Sport, Weather, Births & Deaths, Announcements.

Saturday also carries a tabloid pre print of the Property Weekly section.

Tabloid inserts are carried on Thursday with The Guide and on Saturdays with Property Weekly.

The Manawatu Standard do not publish advertorials. We do accept reader advertisements.

Reader advertisements must be entirely contained within a ruled border of a thickness no less than 5pt.

  1. The text may be set in ordinary news type.
  2. The word ADVERTISEMENT must be set in 14pt capitals and in bold, and must be placed inside the border at the top left-hand corner of the advertisement or centred at the top of the advertisement.
  3. Reader advertisements can be placed on any page other than the first five pages of Section A in any of our sections.
  4. Minimum pt size for reverse block and colour is 8pt.
